I will add more photo's later, but here's one of the Erasmus bridge in Rotterdam. My camera was still at 400 iso as I forgot to reset it to 100 or 200 iso.

This is what you get when pointing upwards.

It certainly is. I hope it's OK but, in the spirit of this being a gallery, and as I had a few spare moments this morning I've taken the liberty of displaying the images above directly, together with links to the underlying "photo pages" from which the shooting information can be read. Nice lens. 8)

thanks B.A.
i would do a full write up but i dont think i have enough experience in photography. this is what i have so far though...

firstly, its huge. compared to the kit at least.

the images are all flawless, as can be expected with a lens of this nature. i heard reports of some distortion when shooting at either extreme, but I have yet to notice any. maybe you really need to shoot at a grid to see it.

The focus ring is different from the other zuiko lenses so far, i dont think its digital at all because you can adjust it even when the camera is off and the lens is off the body. this gives a better feel to the focus i think, though i didnt mind the focus on the kit either.

the zoom ring is a bit stiff, but i heard it smooths out after a bit of usage.

and now the autofocus. yes its quite incredible. its honestly the only reason i bought this lens.
ok so its not 100% perfect ALL the time, but its close. very snappy focus, with very little to no seeking.
i find it works better when its zooming down to something closer than up to something further away, but the difference is marginal.

its definitely not a light lens; I have it mounted on a 510, and the lens is alot heavier than the body, although when i pick it up together, it doesnt seem like the set is really all that front heavy, it just feels like its one uniform mass.

though if i let it hang around my neck, it does tilt forward a tiny bit, which is a nuisance.

I know this is an amazing lens. How does it compare to a dedicated macro lens in the macro compartment? let's say the 50mm f 2.0 ?
