Hi folks,

Here's the thread for the Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-40mm 1:2.8 PRO. The following image was taken with the lens in front of an OM-D E-M1 using 1/1600 sec; f/3.5; ISO 200; 17mm (34mm FF equivalent FoV); handheld. Minimal processing in Adobe Camera Raw: no noise reduction or sharpening was used. The full resolution image can be found here.

OK, five (or less!) out of ten for artistic merit but I hope this thread encourages others with more talent to post images made with this outstanding lens. 8)

Here's another tree, also with my OM-D E-M1, this time using 1/4000 sec; f/4; ISO 200; 38mm (76mm FF equivalent FoV); handheld - the sun is only just out of frame on the right. This time processed in DxO Optics Pro 9 with a final touch-up in PhotoShop. The full resolution image can be found here and I'd venture to suggest that it's only by pixel-peeping that one can see how good this lens really is.

There's a little moire visible but that's down to the lack of an AA filter in the E-M1. It's a personal opinion but this lens is plenty sharp enough for any of my needs and the only need I'd have for a prime in the 12-40mm range would be either for use in low light or to provide a shallow DoF.
