You have taken some really good shots with this lens, like the picture in ur review and now this one...

i really like the composition of it and the broken/old look of the timber on the beah, the clouds fit in perefectly and the sun is just amazing in the back

any post processing?

around +70% contrast at a color-control-point in the clouds over the sun. Nothing else.

The Sigma is 10 - 20 mm the tokina starts at 12 mm, is that a big difference?

i'm going to buy one of those 2, and the tokina is a bit cheaper, but i'm not sure if that 2 mm is needed for landscape shots.

I love that shot Thomas. Ticks all of my boxes.

I wouldn't say you "need" the extra 2mm but it does come in handy sometimes. It's not going to make a poor shot great though, that's your department.

Just in case: another forum-member tried a Tokina 12-24 F/4 that weekend and one thing is for sure: The quality control of Tokina seems just as sh*tty as Sigmas.
So watch out where you buy! You should go to a dealer where you can easily swap or even give the lens right back, without a prohibitive restocking fee :!:

P.S.: Sometimes the 10mm of the Sigma can't be beat :D

Click on picture for full resolution image. Both were shot jpeg in camera with minor tweaks like straightening and minor cropping in LR3 unless otherwise noted.
