The number Pi seen at the beach in Bergen aan Zee, the Netherlands. Shot at F/8, 20mm, 1/750sec. Colors right out-of-the-box!

In a forest near Nuremberg. Shot at F/4, 10mm, 1/45sec. best viewed large.
There is a suggestive quality to the image that "pulls" you into the hole and can best be achieved with such an extreme wide-angle.

These shots are all HDR processed in Photomatix. Each pic is a combination of three pictures (0 +1 and -1). As I am still learning this technique, I am sure they can be greatly improved. Mostly my focusing which really was not that accurate when I was shooting.

A reminder for all posters here:
1. image size is limited to 500pix max
2. Discussions of the lens should go in the appropriate manufacturer section.
3. This is the thread to show-off this lens
This is why I moved thestig2010's post to this thread (and answered it there).

Hi folks,

Gordon has had another look at the image size guidelines for the Lens Gallery forum and just updated them. You can read the guidelines in full here but the relevant portion now says "Images should be no more than 800 pixels on their longest dimension, but if you're only posting a couple, then 1000 pixels is ok".

The reasoning is that not all of us enjoy broadband speeds and for threads, such as those here, which are very image rich we try to ensure they are also user friendly for members and visitors who use dial-up connections.

Got a couple shots to throw in the ring for this particular lens.

A very fun lens to use, lets you set up unique compositions and gives you alot of room to play with depth of field in your shots.

Highly recommended for those who want to go as wide as possible on a APS-C sensor. :)
