Isn't fisheye just great?! Can't wait to get one on the A900, it gives such cool photographs!

I like the video. :D

Fisheye lenses are cool, but like many I don't think I'll use it enough to justify buying one.

Fisheye lenses are fun, but I'd still rather put that money towards something like a 14-24 or something.

If I'm not mistaken, the Sigma 8mm is intended as a circular fisheye for full frame cameras, hence the lost corners of the sample previously.

There is a cheap 8mm fisheye sold under various brands (falcon, samyang) on ebay and elsewhere that might be worth a look too if you just want to play. It is MF only but not important since the DoF is so huge. Seems to get a reasonable review too.

so too true, that is why I don't have one yet, never really needed one... but if I do get one, I'm sure I would use it to compare views with my DT 16-105.

Have a great day

5D2 f/9

With 180° field of view, this image flattens out reality. The tree looks distant, but is really spreading overhead. Remember to lean forward to keep yourself out of shot.

5D2 f/10

One of the first shots I took with this lens. Less than 180° coverage because I hadn't worked out that the ring the lens cap was attached to came off too. Felt like a moron, when I read the instructions 3 hours later -- that is until I read on a Flickr forum some poor sod admit to taking 11 months to figure that out. :-) But then again, I like this composition and would have cropped to something like it in PhotoShop. This lens is useless without PhotoShop to clean up.
