Sigma 400mm f/5.6 (non-apo non-macro)

got this little gem a while back.

after reading all the online reviews, i thought that i might have bought a bad lens.

to my surprise mine seems to be a lot better than the ones used by the people who wrote the reviews.

Hi palakaboy,

Another new lens for our collection, even if it is a bit of an oldie. 8)

In the course of adding it to the gallery's index I've edited the title of this thread just to bring it into line with our other Sigma lenses. Hope that's OK.

i was seriously expecting a crappy lens, but i've fallen in love with it!

I keep forgetting Ive got this lens, although I thinks I have the APO version. I must really get it out and use it more.

Just that my experience of Sigma has been hit and miss. I've had 6 Sigma lenses thus far and 3 of them had focus issues.

i currently have the 170-500, 24-60, 50mm and 70-300 macro

none of them have any problems whatsoever.
