Keen amateur photographer with a Nikon D5000 who is keen to invest in a good Ultra-Wide lens ahead of a photography holiday to Iceland. For similar prices, am torn between a Uses Nikon 12-24mm f4 G AF-S IF-ED DX Lens (£750) or a brand new AF-S Nikkor 10-24mm f3.5-4.5 G ED lens £650. Anyone offer any help (I think I'd prefer a Nikon lens)
Am also keen to try using filters for longer exposures for silky water effects / waterfall / sea pictures / sunrise / sunsets. Looking for a good "starter kit" or some basic essentials but so many types of filters, I'm not sure where to start ....
