USS Lexington Engine Room

An attempt at B&W photography, mainly due to the colors being strangely shifted and color noise being to apparent on the color version.

Any comment and critique is welcome

I really like the B/W conversion Piero! High contrast, but still with a lot of detail throughout the picture. Good job! Is this a submarine?

Thanks! It's actually an aircraft carrier, but as I saw throughout the vessel, it had absolutely zero windows and it was quite cramped, so it did seem like a submarine sometimes.

Ah, I see. It looked very much like a submarine, and since a WW1 sub was just discovered off the coast of one of Holland's islands, it was on my mind.

B&W is great for those pictures where the colors and color noise are all over the place. My parents had me shoot their 25th wedding anniversary dinner in a badly lit restaurant (lots of different kinds of light), so unless I turned the pictures into B&W, they resembled a rainbow more than anything else. It works really for this picture too, adds to the mood of the place.
