Got this as a present from my parents. My mom wanted to visit an antique market last Thursday, and someone had this Eumig camera for sale, as a photo-camera. He didn't know much about it, and I had to find out myself the camera was actually a video-camera from 1958.
It's an Eumig Electric R model, takes 8mm film, and despite it's age, it runs on a battery (haha). No battery supplied in the kit though, that must have long died and disappeared from the shelves. However, it all looks fine, and with a battery, it might just work. The camera is equiped with a 12.5mm f/2.7 lens. Of the three lenses you see in the left picture, one is a hood only. The others are a 0.5x and a 2x converter. Both great lenses to use with the iPhone as well!!!
The thing on top, I figured out, is an old fashioned light meter. You set it to a certain ASA or DIN sensitivity, and it automatically calculates the required aperture with the press of a button. The aperture is adjusted by a dial on the top left of the camera. The recordbutton is located under the lenses, and can be locked in both recording and 'stand by'-mode.
The camera comes in a leather bag custom designed for this model, which, as usual with old camera's like this, screws into the tripod mount. The viewfinder of the Electric R is tiny, but then, so is the film.
I'd love to shoot a video with it sometime, but getting a battery and some new film for it is something I'll have to look into. There is still some film inside, I wonder what's on it...
And an Ensign All Distance still camera, don't know any model numbers or names. Takes 120 film, as far as I know, I'm no expert though. It has two viewfinders, which are both too blurry to compose through. The shutter isn't very reliable, but works most of the time. Haven't every tried shooting a roll of film with it, but if I ever come across a roll of 120, I'll probably give it a go.
