I'm not sure why the above has appeared in the Index thread unless there's some difficulty identifying exactly which lens was used. Maybe the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4? If so I can split your post out into a new thread.

Oh dear, I can't see any such lens on the Nikon USA website. Currently the only AF variants in production are the AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4D and the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G. You say it's both AF and "non D" which only leaves the AF-S 50mm f/1.4G in the current line-up for which we already have this thread.

For the purpose of updating the lens index, I've just added what appears to be the first sample of the following lens to the Gallery:

This is all well and fine but there are'nt many galleries for manual focus lenses on the list...Only one Carl Zeiss lens is listed and its not a very common one either...The 28mm f2.8 Distagon is a far more popular and what about the 50mm f1.4 and 85mm f1.4 Planar T*'s?...Plus their are no galleries for Canon FL and FD lenses. The Helios 40/40-2 85mm f1.5 should be on the list too.

I've never excluded a lens from the Gallery or Index. I can only add to the Index when fellow members add a new lens to the section.

Hi Bob,

I just added the Leica Summicron 50mm. Technically it is a Type IV, non-coded lens but I'm not sure if you wanted that much detail in the Subject line. Or, would you just prefer to add all versions of the 50mm Summicron under one thread?
