One of the earliest pictures from my Canon 30D and 17-85 lens. It's of Gateshead waterfront with The Sage and bridges over the River Tyne.

As of now i have this lens but am debating whether to sell it and get a 17-40 f/4 L. Should i sell or keep it? I Primarily shoot Landscape Photography.

Is there much differnce in IQ between these two lenses?

I am getting the canon 70-200mm F/4 L and already have a 50mm f/1.8. Which of those two lenses (17-85mm or 17-40L) would acomodate me better with the 70-200mm f/4 L for shooting landscape photography?

Landscape outdoors -> absolutely 17-40L. Significantly better.
