Thanks guys for posting these superb photos! That really is an awesome lens and the photos exhibit a lot of skill also. How many of you are using a cable release/remote to cut down on vibration when using a tripod?

Na, most of the time i just keep clicking my shutter button to focus and then bam. (on my tripod of course) My hands are to damn shaky even with VR.

I have a IR remote, i will try and use it soon.

Dont really use a cable release as i dont own one, but sometimes I use an exposure delay and a timed release of 5sec. Easily used with static subjects, but obviously completely useless with animals or insects, or even when the subject is moved by wind......
Personally, I cant see the need for a cable release, as i can only really see it being practical with live view cameras. (Or with the computer software that canon cameras come with automatically.......)

Thank you Thomas. I was able to see the image so was not/am not aware of any problem. Interesting. All I did was copy the info from flickr, as I always do. I added nothing.
