Quiet assignment this month. I've just doubles the number of entries!

Candid is more a reference to the subject being unposed, but not necessarily unaware they're being photographed. Glancing eye contact is OK, imo. Photographs capturing eye contact the moment before a person realises they're being photographed can often be the most interesting.

To try to add some momentum to this month's challenge, here are few more candid (environmental) portraits I took in Burma

Hello all,

The candid street scene assignment looks interesting. Quick question: how do random people typically react after you snap a candid picture of them? Is it best done "covertly"? Or are most people good sports about it? I see lots of great candid street shot opportunities where I am at, but not sure the best way to snap photos of people I don't know, which in my case would make the best candid shots. Would love to shoot but don't want to get shot
