This is the thread for any comments or questions concerning October's Competition. Also, if you have any pictures older than six months you would like to share, please do so here.
As a street photographer, the only time I shoot "long exposures" is at night or indoors, but I'll give it a go this afternoon and see what I can come up with. Here's some old shots I took with relatively long exposures. You can click the pictures to see a larger version. London's a great city for late night street photography!
Well, if there were prizes for length then it might win. But artistry is the name of the game and my offering is more about post-processing so, as you say, "Looking forward to more entries!"
Hi Bob, a few weeks ago our local paper printed Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2013 shots, I’m not sure if you saw this link but in my opinion they are not up to your standard. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
That's very kind of you to say but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and, fortunately, there are lots of different ways to express the beauty all around us.

. dubaiphil got my vote this month. A close call but that baleful stare from the stall owner reminded me of my own travelling days. You almost, but not quite, feel guilty if you don't buy something!
. Thanks. I've already decided on the theme for December, my priority being to be as inclusive as possible, but I'll let Bjorn announce it at the end of the month as normal. But I will say that whatever your preferred style of (forum friendly) photography you will be able to enter...
Congratulations Bob, a very well deserved win I must say.
