I thought of it as when I was waiting at the bus stop the other day, I saw a green dustbin(to encourage going green? dunno) on a big patch of grass and thought that green was everywhere and that'd it make a suitable theme for On Assignment.
hi eveybody, regarding the themes for assignments, i thought perhaps wheels which would make it interesting as they are such a common everyday sight, with no post processing except cropping, or even having them only in black and white. Though i suppose that may seem a little boring for those who love the challenge of post processing. Just a thought anyway

maybe also an assignment with locks, with so many varietys of padlocks, canal locks, hair even ,with all these possibilities it could be quite an interesting assignment, and like the wheels above most people wouldnt have much trouble finding them. Just a thought. thanks sue

I'm new to the site so I'm not overly familar with older ideas. But what about 'night' as a theme? I love what you could do at night time with a camera.
We had a Christmas theme last December, so unless the winner of October's current poll decides to do choose something similar, we may not have a festive theme! The current Assignment is however 'cold', and that could bring some festive imagery...
I vote for a "cold" antonym like "hot" or "warm".
Maybe de way hot, literally antonym.
It's true we associate cold with Christmas but, we have the other side... When every one at home, it's a very good warm ambient. Also many thought's from who pretend to sooner arrive home.
I would suggest the theme "BOKEH", where the users should cut an creative format in a piece of black paper, shoot some out of focus lightning at night and participate.
