How do you store your Lenses ?

Postby leepylee » Fri Aug 01, 2014 2:41 pm

Hi all I read this somewhere

{You should NOT be storing your lenses in a lens pouch and certainly not in a lens bag, irrespective of how good or expensive it is}

So my Question is how do you store your Lenses ?

Cheers Lee

I store my gear in a Peli-case with quite a few sachets of silica-gel/desiccant scattered inside.

Before I got the peli-case I stored my lenses in their pouches in a cupboard, but put a sachet of desiccant in each one.
The biggest issue is with dampness/humidity, I think.

No probs.
Lee, if you've been outside shooting in the wet/damp, or even cold, it's probably also a good idea to let your gear warm up & dry at room temperature for a while too, before storing it away.

Some of the pro guys use a dedicated cooler to store their stuff, but they aint particularly cheap. eg; http://www.amazon.co.uk/100L-Cabinet-St ... B00IQ75NQ0
