I should get newer SD cards as I now have more modern SD cameras, and a new reader to match... Two 8GB Sandisk Ultra II doesn't go far between 3 cameras.

I purchased a video camera. Nothing super expensive, roughly $400. The video kept freezing when I was playing with it forcing me to restart the camera. Had to return it and was kinda upset. Video cameras have such dramatically changing reviews. Some hate a certain camera while others love it. It's so difficult.

/end longest tweet ever.

5.9 earthquake was cool last night, hope it didn't delay my replacement getting here today. Him getting here means 2-weeks until I get my wife and new camera.

wished it would stop raining, Australia the land of extremes, from years of draught to drowned rats. Its wet, cold and windy making it very unpleasant.

I was out a few days ago and the paddocks are that saturated that I sunk in mud halfway up to my knees. Wetlands are out of bounds. Nothing to do but wait, so have been going to work for extra overtime shifts. Wife hasn`t mentioned the painting inside house that I am dodging and should really be doing, but I bet she will mention it soon.

Thinking? Hmm; I am wondering if I did the right thing by buying a second Canon 7D body yesterday, rather than a good prime lens or saving toward a full-frame camera. I do not regret selling my Omega Seamaster watch to fund the 7D. When the watch scratches the photo equipment, choosing the one that goes away is not difficult. My mobile phone can be my watch, and I did not routinely wear a wrist watch until recently, anyway.

The second 7D seemed a good idea, as I now have two camera bodies with identical controls. I have been using a 40D as a companion to my first 7D, to minimize switching lenses while working in adverse weather and dusty environments.
Canon 5Ds R/7D2/7D/5D/40D/1D2N; Nikon F6/D3s/D700/FM3A/Coolpix A. Lens selection undergoing changes; some favorites: Zeiss 2/135 APO Sonnar, Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS and 135L, Nikkor 14-24/2.8G and 200/2 VR.
