I've got some problem ejecting flash drives, is my computer

Whenever I try to eject flash drives, it always fail because it says that the drive is still in use even though all the windows on my PC are closed. There's also a case when I connected a camera and a cellphone on my PC; when I ejected them, the pictures and songs did not appear on the camera and cellphone respectively anymore... I have a McAfee Total Protection 2010 anti-virus... I really need help!

I use windows vista. At the very bottom of screen there is a tiny icon `safely remove hardware`. Not sure if that has anything to do with your problem, or indeed, whether even your camera & phone came with disks you need to load first.?
