Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM APO Macro - Nikon mount

Well, where to start ....

This lens, no doubt, in my opinion, is one of the best lenses on the market for macro. The construction it is robust, beautifully finished with EX series of sigma.

The 150mm has it allows pictures to be taken at a considerable distance. This is important when you want to photograph insects without bother and scare them.

The picture quality is impressive and the ability to shoot 1:1 macro opens a new world of details for you. I was impressed with the quality that the sigma dedicated to this lens. It's kind of lens that does not work in post processing. The colors, the contrast is excellent, in a warmer tone than the nikon lenses. My D90 has an optimal communication with the lens, because it always hits the right exposure.

A point to remember is that, despite being advertised as 2.8 fixed, the aperture changes when the focus is too approximate. This is a feature of the lens and we can deepen the subject because I've read about this lens behavior.

An example of the amount of detail that this lens produces (the subject was about 1.5 cm diameter):

Another one (the plant wound had like 1cm diameter):
