I recently ordered some prints from Mpix and I was curious about the canvas on a stretcher frame, so I got one to try it out. But I don't really know how to hang this type of print. I thought the back would be open (so that I could just rest the top of the stretcher frame on nails/hanging hardware), but instead the back is covered with a piece of cardboard. I don't think I'm supposed to remove it, since it's stapled to the stretcher frame. No hanging hardware came with the print, and there are no holes or wires attached to the back. Also, there are visible staples around the side, so I wonder if this is intended to be directly hung on the wall at all. Perhaps I should be putting it inside a larger frame instead? (On Mpix, it seemed that ordering a canvas on stretcher frame was an alternative to framing, so I thought it shouldn't need a frame.)
The particular print I got is fairly small, so I think I can hang it just about any way I want (e.g., with some spare velcro, or even magnets). But I am sort of curious as to what is the usual way to hang this sort of print.
