The cat murdered a Dragonfly yesterday so I brought it indoors for some microscopy.
This image is a rushed job because it was clear that it was not going to turn out very well.
I thought up a new technique this morning to do this sort of work, and although the technique works fine - it is still VERY TOUGH to put these large focus-stacked photomicromosaics together.
Gives me new huge respect for Charles Kreb's work!!!
Anyway - here is a whole Dragonfly head - better attempts will follow (but not shortly).
