Slingload in Afghanistan

Postby HikingMike » Sun Jun 30, 2013 7:03 am

I guess this is aviation and action LOL. We had an emergency slingload. A small base out in the middle of no where lost it's main power and had nothing to run the much need Air Conditioning so we had to get them a replacement out ASAP.

And the fourth picture is awesome too, great work Mike! This is the documentary-style work I mentioned I want to see, good stuff.

Nice set Mike. Actually, I like the first two with the Chinook blurred out in the background. I also agree with Bjorn, nice to see this style of work.

Great shots in difficult conditions for everyone concerned. It's nice to get a taste for what life is life out there for the guys and girls. Hubby did a tour out there last year and said that the hot, dusty conditions were something you just had to become accustomed too.
