A brief question (I'll fill in more later). My neighbor wants to hire me as a baby photographer for this Easter Sunday to photograph his baby granddaughter and wants me to quote fees. I was thinking an up-front non-refundable shoot fee, then a per image fee for images they choose from. I don't know where to start. Plus, my forte is landscape, birds in flight, still life, etc. But, I have little experience in people photography. I've been reading books and watching videos on baby photography even before his request, because it's the next thing I want to explore in my photography. And I have portrait lenses. And I'm in Minnesota, not the UK, so dollars, not pounds...LOL! I figure I should discount for lack of experience.
If anyone does this and would like to share their fee rates or can point me towards some links that would be helpful, I would be greatly appreciative.
(I just bought the Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM lens, 64mm exquivalent, but haven't updated my equipment info yet.)
