Banksia trees

Postby maxjj » Sun Mar 03, 2013 3:23 am

came across burnt Banksia trees yesterday, make for interesting subjects. Next time need to make sure I take my macro lens with me.

they have a really tough bark, almost looks like armour, it also appears that fire triggers the release of seeds.

Top image reminds me of those black fuzzy hats Royal Guards wear and the bottom ones look like scorched Pac-mans.
