Getting Rid of Shadow

Postby robert19 » Thu Aug 16, 2012 4:52 pm

I've got a little studio set up in my basement, when taking pics of my subject a shadow is cast on my backdrop. I've got two softboxes and an off camera flash but can't get rid of the shadow. Any suggestions?

You need to get your subject further from your background, or failing that position your lights A) more to the sides or B) higher up (or a combination thereof) such that they cast shadows out of the frame and off the background.

How much room do you have to work with?
Canon EOS 5D MkII | Canon EOS 7D | Canon Digital Rebel XSi | EF 35mm f/1.4L | EF 50mm f/1.8 II | EF 85mm f/1.8 | EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM | EF 135mm f/2L | EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS | 580EX II | LumoPro LP-120

Thanx! Moved away from background and that did it.
