Upgraded afterall.

It's an old 2007 PC I upgraded. Damn thing has been so reliable over the years, I felt better upgrading due to the fact I'm not a power user or gamer anymore. Less e-waste. Yay.

Old Stats:
600W Thermaltake PS
Win XP Home 32-bit
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Gigabyte 945P-S3 Rev 3.3
2GB DDR2 667
ATI HD5850 1GB
SB X-FI Extreme Music
DVD-ROM
WD 160 GB SATA 8MB cache

New Stuff:
Win 7 Pro 64-bit
+2GB DDR2 667 (4GB total)
Intel 160GB SSD SATA2
WD 1TB SATA2 64MB cache

So far, it has been very responsive and rock-solid. I used the recommended updates, so it has defaulted to my video card's HDMI audio output. It took hours to update, I watched a movie as it went. Still debating whether to install the sound blaster drivers.

(Holy crud, the dust I removed after 7 years.)

Yeah. Since I was upgrading instead of replacing a 7-yr-old machine, DDR3 was not an option then.
