Hello everyone,

I recently redesigned my website to incorporate flash.

I tried to keep it simplistic too.

let me know what you think

Nice site and nice photos.
Maybe it's my connection but the flash thing is really slow.
I recommend using less of it. Some may be frustrated by that.

Great clean design, and the images load fast enough on my connection. did you use a CMS, and, if so, which one?

Thanks guys

I used to get a basic template then customized it for my own needs from there.

About Flash:

It doesn't work on the iPhone
It doesn't work on the iPad
It doesn't work on most phones (Android 2.2 is the exception)
It is buggy on Linux (first time I loaded your page I got a black page)
Apple is no longer shipping it by default with OSX

First, I like the website design. However, there is absolutely no need for you to use Flash with this website. You could get website just as pretty using something like SmoothGallery and some of the jQuery stuff, with the added benefit that it will work everywhere.

My only actual criticism of the website design is your links fade to black when you hover over them, on a black background. Seeing links disappear when I mouse over them feels weird to me.

I also am working on a mobile version of the website that will work on iphones and ipads.

I created the splash page for people that do not have flash so if the main site will not work, they can atleast use my smugmug to view galleries.

For the main page the color scheme is black so when you highlight over the text they go away, however in other tabs the color of the text changes according to the section color.

I am working on changing the main page buttons to have a different color text

I like your website. I had no problems with load times and liked the layout. Also I love some of your nature photos.

very nice and loaded in ok times. It is a shame apple does not use flash, though not sure how well a portfolio would come across on a tiny little iphone screen anyway.

still, it would look good on an ipad if they allowed flash.

Thanks so far,

I can get it to work on an ipad with a mobile html version of the site, however I am unsure if I want to bother with that considering if you go to the client galleries section from the splash page you can see them already.
