yeah .... I saw the one posted here and was well impressed with it 10/10 .......today me and the missus went out with the cameras for a hour and i managed to take several shots of that bird in flight aswell as other stuff and i decided to start seaching for a free stitching program came up with this one after scavaging around the net for 30 mins or so. its simple to use aslong as you have the shots

Just fed in a couple of handheld panoramas to test it. It does well on exposure blending, but the joints could be better. It seems to use selective picking on 8x8 blocks so on lines they can be offset by a few pixels when peeping. Compared to the stitcher in Photoshop Elements, it seems to be much less demanding on RAM requirements. But Elements does better detail blending on joins.

Considering the price (free!) I think it worth a play, which I'm going to do more of

Panorama made with Microsoft Image Composite Editor. Started with seven 38 Mb .NEF files, dragged them into the ICE workspace, waited 3-4 minutes and presto, a great big picture. Never made it to post other than making the pan- so as shot. Thanks to Camera Labs people for the shared info!

Use canons free stitcher on the Mac ... Its been discontinued but some googling will reveal it on their asia site .., i probably still have the download i can send you ..

I've got the program, it came free with my Canon SX20 IS, but still, thanks.
Anyways, I don't use it because I thought it wasn't that good, never trusted it really
Is it worth replacing it with other software it or should I keep Canon's stitcher?

I did this with it the other day..just threw some pics together really...i admit i havent examined it in detail...seems ok though but all depends what you are looking for..

Well I think it will suit my needs, I'll give it a try. Mostly what I'm looking for is that the panorama doesn't have any obvious seams, that kind of annoys me.

the only bit that jump out as needing some treatment is just to the right of the tower .....sure that can be sorted easy enough in PS though..

I agree, I find it quite easy to fix skies in Photoshop, the only issue would be if the buildings had these obvious seams, but from what I can see, it's pretty good. I'll give it a try with a panorama I had tried to stitch before with Photoshop but failed, unfortunately, and I'll post the result if you're interested. Thanks!

Finally found my panorama, here's the result with a little PP. I didn't love the panorama, but I guess Canon's stitcher did good job

EDIT: I forgot, there's one really ugly seam in the sky caused by some change in color, but I guess the stitcher would not have been able to sort it out.

I would be interested in a consensus on this as well. I have a copy of Canon's Stitcher (somewhere ), certainly easier for me to click download/install but I would prefer to install the better of the two.
