just got Adobe Lightroom 2 (few hours ago) and thought i'd show my effort with Coral Paintshop pro x2 and the new light room 2...

hmm, to be honest, I can't say I particularly like any of those picture with one exception: the first one is great! cool perspective, composition and motive!

the others lack impact.. they're just too boring and regular. I think it's mainly a problem of the location.. green grass, a blue sky and a house are just not that much of a subject for pure landscape sceneries ;)

thats true, the one with the tree on shadow in the grass could be better.

I'm still learning and all info is greatly taken on board!

I like the first one.

But I think the others are a little, ... cute?

Totally agree with Nostrum 1st look nice but the rest of the set are lack of impact & less 'Stand Out' Subject :)

There's nothing boring about green grass, a blue sky and Bakewell Cricket Club - even when shot from the boundary.
