Washington DC

Postby ABHIJIT » Sun Jan 18, 2009 11:27 pm

I went to Washington DC last week and some of the pics I got from there. It was terrible mistake by me that I forgot to pickup my tripod so had to do night shots handheld with high ISO. :(

Taken in Butterfly Observatory, Natural History Museum, DC

Washington monument photo is my favorite.. Only thing I go not like about it is the color... How long was your shutter... Maybe a bit to long? Just a thought...

Exposure was 1 second on that & ISO 800.. It was cloudy and raining as well when I took this. And in this particular area at National Mall, there too many lights so somehow it captured this shade.

I see... Well maybe the WB (white balance) was on auto? Maybe change it to something different. Hmm... What about bringing the ISO down to 200 and bring the shutter higher by a half second or so? All just thoughts... They might not work but it's worth a try...

Ya may be it could have worked. As I said, I forgot my tripod so was shooting handheld. And in addition to that it was raining and freaking cold so my brain wasn't working much

Oh yea I forgot that it was up North from here... It does not get very cold to often here in South Florida. Well maybe next time (if there will be a next time) maybe you will have your tripod and get some VERY nice shots... (not saying these are not good)
