Complete Sony Alpha lens range!

Postby Gordon Laing » Tue Apr 21, 2009 10:28 pm

Hello everyone!

We're pleased to publish our catalogue of the complete Sony Alpha lens range, with specifications and current pricing for the US.

So if you're wondering what lenses are available, how much they weigh, what filter they take and crucially how much they cost, check it out!

Many thanks to Bjorn for compiling these pages. He's done a great job and it's very much appreciated!

This now joins our existing complete Canon and Nikon lens catalogues, so check them all out to see what models are available on different systems, and how the prices compare!

It's our long-term plan to publish similar listings for all manufacturers, but it's such a huge job, we're doing it one company at a time and judging the response for each.

In terms of price-checking for different regions we're currently looking into geo-targeting services for other parts of the world. In the meantime, if you'd like to support Cameralabs, you can use the existing US price-checking services from any country!

They have Zeiss glass, but only 5 models. Add that to Sony's own list of lenses and this is what you got. Not that much. Not yet at least. I'm sure Sony's working hard to get more lenses available though!

All of the Minolta lenses are missing, though.

That's probably why it's called "Complete Sony Alpha lens range", not "List of all Sony Alpha compatible lenses".

For all Minolta lenses, visit either dyxum.com or mhohner.de.

Sony lenses

Thanks for the list. I hope Sony brings back the 70-210 f/4 Beer Can. At least they still make my favorite, the 135mm along with the 100mm macro.
